Ixia acquires N2X Data Networks product line from Agilent Technologies

Ixia, a provider of converged internet protocol (IP) performance test systems and service verification platforms for wireless and wired infrastructures and services, has acquired the N2X Data Networks product line from Agilent Technologies, Inc. for approximately $44 million in cash and the assumption of certain liabilities.
Agilent is a provider of bio-analytical and electronic measurement solutions to the communications, electronics, life sciences and chemical analysis industries. Both the companies are based in the US.
Announcement (October 21, 2009):
Ixia has agreed to acquire the N2X Data Networks product line from Agilent Technologies for $44 million in cash.
The acquisition will include certain assets of N2X product line, along with its customers, sales and research and development teams.
Moelis & Company Holdings, LLC and Bryan Cave, LLP are acting as financial and legal advisors to Ixia, respectively, on this transaction.
The transaction is expected to close on October 30, 2009.
