TriQuint on Finalist List for Oregon Manufacturing Company of the Year

TriQuint Semiconductor, a RF front-end product manufacturer and foundry services provider, announced it was named a finalist by the Portland Business Journal in the inaugural "Oregon Manufacturing Company of the Year" Awards.

The awards recognize successful Oregon companies and their role in driving the regional economy through manufacturing and strategic advancement. TriQuint was a finalist in the Large Company category, revenues of $50m and above. The finalist designation acknowledges TriQuint's success in a tough economic climate and deftly handling the ups and downs of changes in product demand, while avoiding layoffs and rebounding toward what the company called another record revenue year.

Paul Thomas, Chief Economist at Intel, gave the keynote address at the awards presentation and noted the importance of continuing to invest and drive for results even in a challenging economic climate. He congratulated the award finalists and winners and noted ongoing investment in technology will be key to helping the region's economic recovery.

Steve Grant, Vice President of Worldwide Operations for TriQuint, said, "This recognition acknowledges the dedication of the people of TriQuint to deliver top quality results despite the challenges presented by the past 12 months. By remaining focused on quality and customer service while experiencing a dramatic swing in demand and factory utilization, we've managed this phase while delivering results. I am proud of our TriQuint team, who utilized the slower time in the factory to improve processes, fine tune procedures and find every possible way to increase factory efficiency, and honored to have received this recognition amongst such distinguished Oregon companies."

The Oregon Manufacturing Awards were presented by the Portland Business Journal during a luncheon at the Portland Art Museum.
