Loans from China's Big Four banks on the rise

China's four largest banks, t he Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC), the Agricultural Ba nk of China (ABC), the Bank of China (BoC) and the China Construction Bank (CCB), loaned 136 billion yuan in October, up from 110.4 billion yuan in September, according to sources in the banks.
In October, new loans of the BoC reached 44 billion yuan, the most of the four banks.
Loans made by the CCB increased by about 36 billion yuan in October, the second highest of the four banks, while in September i t was top with 44 billion yuan in new loans.
The ICBC offered 33 billion yuan of new loans, and its cu mulative loans so far this year have reached 960 billion yuan.
New loans of the ABC stood at 23 billion yuan in October. The figure for September was 30 billion yuan, slightly more than in A ugust. By the end of October, its total for the year approached 900 bi llion yuan.
