First Data and TEB-BNP Paribas sign ATM agreement in Turkey

US-based First Data has announced an ATM deployment agreement with Turk Ekonomi Bankasi-BNP Paribas.
During the next three years, First Data and Turk Ekonomi Bankasi (TEB) will create a new network comprising 1,250 ATMs at retail and other convenient locations in Istanbul and major cities across Turkey.
Cemal Kismir, head of retail banking business at TEB, said: "The initiative is significant in terms of size and scale and will deliver value to our customers across the country. We are pleased to be working with First Data, which has an excellent understanding of the dynamics of both retail and ATM markets and global experience in managing successful and profitable retail ATM networks."
Soner Canko, managing director of First Data's operations in Turkey, said: "We are delighted to have the opportunity to work with TEB, one of Turkey's most established bank brands, on the development of a new retail ATM network. We continue to strengthen our position in Turkey, an important growth market for First Data, by offering economies of scale, high quality technical infrastructure and service excellence."
