Microsoft expands Business Productivity Online Suite to additional countries and regions

Software giant Microsoft Corp (Nasdaq:MSFT) said on Monday that it is expanding the availability of Microsoft Business Productivity Online Suite (BPOS), the company's business communication and collaboration software delivered as a service.
Part of Microsoft Online Services, BPOS offers communications and collaboration software delivered as subscription services. The services include Exchange Online with Microsoft Exchange Hosted Filtering, SharePoint Online, Office Communications Online and Microsoft Office Live Meeting.
BPOS will be available in 15 additional countries and regions later this week, with commercial availability in Singapore and trials in Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Czech Republic, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, Israel, Malaysia, Mexico, Poland, Puerto Rico, Romania and Taiwan.
This expansion brings BPOS availability to a total of 36 countries and regions and there are plans to introduce the service in India later in 2009.
Microsoft is also reducing the price of the service to USD10 per user per month.
