Deutsche Telekom is close to extending its sponsorship agreement with
Bayern Munich, according to German newspaper Bild Zeitung citing
unnamed sources within the club. The contract would run for another
three years (until 2013) and Deutsche Telekom will pay EUR 25 million
per year, instead of the current EUR 20 million. Bayern Munich or
Deutsche Telekom would not comment, but the deal is expected to be
announced during the annual meeting of Bayern Munich on 27 November of
this year. Deutsche Telekom has been shirt sponsor of Bayern Munich
since 2002 with its brands T-Mobile and T-Home.
