LHS releases customer care and billing solution on IBM Power Systems

IBM (NYSE:IBM) announced on Wednesday that independent software vendor LHS has released its BSCS iX Release 3 customer care and billing solution on IBM Power Systems running the AIX operating system.
No financial details were disclosed.
According to the company, the new release will allow LHS customers to deploy their BSCS workload on IBM's server platform, which will deliver improve performance, scalability and efficiency.
BSCS iX enables real-time rating and billing of telecoms services together with customer care. The modular design of the solution allows for low-risk, step-by-step migration and simple integration into existing systems.
IBM also said it is a new member of LHS's dedicated partner programme, which constitutes an agreement of close cooperation between LHS and IBM. The program aims to combine LHS' product expertise and technology with IBM's project experience and best practices of service delivery. In addition, the co-marketing and co-selling activities are expected to offer expanded business opportunities for both sides.
LHS is part of the Ericsson group.
