High performance storage solutions provider STEC Inc (Nasdaq:STEC) announced on Wednesday qualification of its ZeusIOPS SSDs across a wide range of storage solutions provider Dot Hill's platforms including iSCSI, SAS and Fibre Channel RAID Arrays.
No financial details were disclosed.
According to the company, Dot Hill needed a storage solution that could withstand harsh conditions. ZeusIOPS is adaptable to a wide range of applications, leveraging the inherent strengths of SSDs, that is no moving parts, as well as high shock, temperature and vibration tolerances.
In addition, STEC's SSDs enhance Dot Hill's storage arrays by delivering ultra fast access time, near zero latency and enterprise-class performance levels. In demanding environments, the SSDs are able to overcome many of the limitations of rotating hard disks and deliver more performance with fewer drives, the company said.
