MicroStrategy 9 chosen by Systeme U

Business Intelligence software provider MicroStrategy Inc (Nasdaq:MSTR) announced on Thursday that French retailer cooperative Systeme U has selected MicroStrategy 9 as its enterprise business intelligence platform to support its Information Decision Support System Group.

No financial details were disclosed.

According to the company, Systeme U decided to consolidate its BI applications within a central Decision Support Information System Group to develop an integrated architecture. The procurement, inventory and sales departments will be the first departments to use MicroStrategy 9.

The cooperative expects more than 1,500 employees in the group purchasing organisations (GPOs) and 1,000 stores will leverage the MicroStrategy platform.

The new BI system is expected to enable Systeme U to: measure the progress of the company's strategic objectives and manage operational activities with operations dashboards; develop a consistent foundation to meet the BI requirements of the GPOs; and pool BI technical resources by providing centralised, hosted IT assistance.
