Leap Wireless International names three new directors

Leap Wireless International has appointed John Chapple, Ronald Kramer and William Roper Jr to its board of directors.

The addition of these new directors brings the number of Leap board members to eight. Mr Chapple is president of Hawkeye Investments, a privately owned equity firm investing primarily in telecommunications and real estate ventures, and is the former president, CEO and chairman of Nextel Partners.

Mr Kramer is CEO of Griffon, a diversified holding company, and was previously president of Wynn Resorts. Mr Roper is president of Roper Capital, a privately-owned equity firm and is the former president and CEO of VeriSign.
