Magma Schedules Second Quarter Earnings Call and Webcast for Dec. 3, 2009

 WHAT:     Magma(R) Design Automation Inc. (Nasdaq:LAVA) will conduct
           a live webcast and conference call to review financial
           results for its second quarter ended Nov. 1, 2009.

 WHEN:     The webcast and conference call will be Thursday,
           Dec. 3, 2009, at 2 p.m. PST. Magma will release
           second-quarter financial results after Nasdaq trading
           closes on Dec. 3, 2009. The company will release quarterly
           results 1 week later than it would ordinarily because of
           the Thanksgiving holiday in the United States.
