Clearwire Expands Sales Distribution for CLEAR(TM) 4G Mobile Internet Service in Philadelphia

Andrew Kupiec Named CLEAR General Manager for the Philadelphia Market

PHILADELPHIA, Nov 05, 2009 -- --Consumers and Businesses now have Access to Mobile Internet Service Several Times Faster than 3G --Clearwire to Showcase Mobile WiMAX Capabilities and Devices During Consumer Launch Event Today at Love Park in Center City --4G Mobile Internet Available for as Low as $30/Month at Clear.com Clearwire Communications, LLC, an operating subsidiary of Clearwire Corporation (NASDAQ: CLWR), announced today the expansion of its sales operations for CLEAR's super fast mobile Internet service throughout the Philadelphia region. The company also named Andrew Kupiec as general manager for the Philadelphia market.

With CLEAR, consumers and businesses can access the Internet wirelessly, at true broadband speeds -- at home, in the office, and on the go anywhere in the CLEAR coverage area. CLEAR covers 1000 square miles and approximately 3.6 million people in the Philadelphia market. Regionally, service extends as far north as Bucks County, south to the Delaware state line below the Philadelphia airport, east to Cherry Hill, NJ and west to the Phoenixville and Malvern areas.

"CLEAR is excited to bring to Philadelphia residents, businesses and visitors an Internet experience similar to what they're used to having at home or the office, anywhere around town or on the go," said Andrew Kupiec, Clearwire General Manager, Philadelphia. "We're pleased to provide this community a valuable new category of Internet service designed to make people's lives more enjoyable and more productive." A CLEAR Difference The CLEAR customer experience is similar to that provided by Wi-Fi, but without the short range limitations of a traditional Internet hot spot. CLEAR uses a wireless 4G technology that differs from Wi-Fi called WiMAX, which provides service areas measured in miles, not feet. Furthermore, CLEAR gives you average mobile download speeds of 3 to 6 mbps with bursts over 10 mbps.* As the Internet integrates deeper into daily life, the opportunities to stay connected and be productive are enhanced by CLEAR in numerous ways. For example: -- A mobile professional no longer needs to seek out Wi-Fi hotspots or be constrained by the speeds and limitations of 3G modem cards; -- A college student or retiree can now have affordable Internet service to meet their needs at home, on campus and on-the-go; -- A commuter can now work or access entertainment sites like Hulu or Pandora on the way home; -- A busy parent can now have full Internet connectivity for kids studying or playing games in the back of the family minivan.

For these and many other customers, CLEAR's simple and innovative pricing provides ultimate flexibility. CLEAR's mobile and residential plans can be purchased by the day or by the month, and with several no service contract options are available. Home Internet service plans start at $25 (U.S.) per month, while mobile Internet plans start at $35 per month, or customers can purchase a convenient day pass for $10. Additional savings are available for customers by purchasing a combination of services that could include home-and-mobile or mobile-and-mobile Internet plans starting at $55 for both, or by signing up for a two-year service agreement. The dual-mode 4G/3G plan is available for just $70 per month with a two-year service agreement. Customers can find full details about pricing options, business plans and purchase the service online at www.clear.com

Converted Organics Appoints Raj Mehta, Ph.D., Microbiology Technical Advisor

BOSTON, Nov 05, 2009 -- Converted Organics Inc. (NASDAQ:COIN) announced today the Company has appointed Raj Mehta, Ph.D. as its new Microbiology Technical Advisor. Dr. Mehta will work with Converted Organics on all matters related to microbiology, including the Company's proprietary High Temperature Liquid Composting (HTLC) microbial digestion technology, potential product line extensions, and technology and protocols related to the formulation, evaluation and production of potential new products.

Dr. Mehta brings over 30 years of biotechnology, agricultural, microbiology and biochemistry experience to Converted Organics. Dr. Mehta founded the environmental biotechnology company Organica, Inc. in 1993, and served as its President and Chief Technical Officer until June of this year. In this capacity he was responsible for the development and manufacturing of naturally-occurring, biodegradable organic products for consumer, industrial and agricultural markets. Prior to his tenure at Organica, Inc., Dr. Mehta served as president of Biopharm International, where he provided scientific consulting and technical transfer negotiating services to agricultural, pharmaceutical, chemical and bioremediation companies internationally. Dr. Mehta has also served as a consultant for Mutual Pharmaceutical, Ringer Corporation, Rohm & Haas, Inc., Abbott Laboratories, Reuter Laboratories, and Cell Products, and was an Associated Senior Investigator and Senior Scientist for SmithKline & French Labs. He has held teaching positions at India's University of Baroda and M.G. Science Institute. Dr. Mehta received his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in microbiology and biochemistry from the University of Texas and Gujarat University.

"Raj is an excellent addition to Converted Organics' scientific team, and we are confident that the business will benefit from his very extensive microbiology and agricultural experience," said Edward J. Gildea, President of Converted Organics. "Raj joins Converted Organics as we continue building our nationwide customer base, look to expand our high-quality organic fertilizer product offerings, and continually work to improve the efficiency of our manufacturing operations." "Converted Organics utilizes one of the most unique technologies I have ever seen, the High Temperature Liquid Composting process, to create very novel and effective organic fertilizer products," said Dr. Mehta. "I believe the future potential of the Company is very promising, and I look forward to adding my expertise to the talented team at Converted Organics, and working with them to expand the business." About Converted Organics Inc.

Converted Organics (NASDAQ:COIN, www.convertedorganics.com), based in Boston, MA, is dedicated to producing high-quality, all-natural, organic soil amendment and fertilizer products through food waste recycling. The Company uses its proprietary High Temperature Liquid Composting (HTLC) system, a proven, state-of-the-art microbial digestion technology, to process various biodegradable food wastes into dry pellet and liquid concentrate organic fertilizers that help grow healthier food and improve environmental quality. Converted Organics sells and distributes its environmentally-friendly fertilizer products in the retail, professional turf management, and agribusiness markets.

Converted Organics' flagship manufacturing facility is located in Woodbridge, New Jersey. A second manufacturing site is located in Gonzales, California. Converted Organics' products have been tested in numerous field trials for more than a dozen crops with the result that, on average, the net value of the farmer's crop increased 11-16 percent, depending on the particular crop and product application. This is due, in part, to the disease suppression characteristics of the product, which reduce or eliminate the need for other costly, often toxic, crop protection applications. In a number of lab and field trials, Converted Organics' liquid product has been shown to be effective in mitigating powdery mildew, a leaf fungus that affects most plants and grasses and restricts the flow of water and nutrients to the plant. Increased use of nitrogen in commercial agriculture and turf grass applications, such as on golf courses, has reduced the soil's ability to absorb nitrogen and other nutrients. Using the products produced by Converted Organics helps restore the soil by replenishing these micronutrients. This reduces the amount of nitrogen required in a virtuous cycle that benefits from long-term use. As a result, use of the product reduces chemical run-off to streams, ponds and rivers, an objective with significant long-term benefits to the environment.

Converted Organics' products have a long shelf life compared to many other organic fertilizers. The Company's fertilizer products can be used on a stand-alone basis or in combination with more traditional fertilizers and crop protection products. Converted Organics expects to benefit from increased regulatory focus on organic waste processing and on environmentally-friendly growing practices.
