Frbiz.com Evaluates Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10

Frbiz.com, one of China's leading B2B search platforms with more than 30 B2B industry websites to its name, evaluates the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10.

The Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 is the first Android phone from Sony Ericsson

As the fourth in the XPERIA phone series, the Sony Ericsson X10 does not have the sliding cover design like the X1 or X2, and it has a mirror-type full-touch screen. The phone is 119 x 63 x 13 mm in size and weighs 135g.

Perhaps some people think it a bit heavy, but it weighs the same as the currently popular Hero Google phone. The XPERIA X10 is even slimmer than the Hero by 0.7mm; all in all Android phones are known for their portability.

Despite the huge mirror screen, which covers almost the entire front of the phone, the Sony Ericsson X10 has three silver metal physical buttons at the very bottom, which contrast well with the black mirror design. It is worth mentioning that, in addition to the far right return key, the other two keys are appearing for the first time in the XPERIA series.

The body around the shortcut keys and data interfaces to a certain extent reflects the phone's design idea; this part of the Sony Ericsson X10 still embodies a sense of calm simplicity. The right side of the phone is separately equipped with volume control keys and a camera shutter key, while ornaments can be attached at the bottom of the phone. The most commonly used Micro USB data jack, 3.5mm headphone port and power button are located at the top of the phone. In order to prevent dust from entering, the Micro USB interface has a special plastic soft plug. Since the main interfaces are distributed on the top of the phone, there is nothing on the left side.

Apart from excellent screen configuration, the Sony Ericsson X10 equally spares no effort in the camera. Not only is there an 8.1 mega pixel camera, but also auto focus and LED flash support. In order to further enhance mobile entertainment, the phone also joined the previous Cyber-shot phones in having image anti-shake, smile detection, up to five people's facial recognition and 16x digital zoom among other functions, which has greatly increased users' picture taking pleasure, but the phone does not have a protective cover on the lens.

As a representative of a new generation of Google mobile phones, the Sony Ericsson X10 is not equipped with the latest version of Android 2.0; instead, it has the same version of Android 1.6 as the HTC Tattoo, which means that the phone does not have the 2.0 versions of Google Maps navigation, SMS search, browser search, multi-touch technology, and many other features.

Android 2.0 or no, the Sony Ericsson X10 has a strong processor. From a practical point of view, indeed, it has one GHz of Qualcomm QSD 8250 Snapdragon processor, not only once again more than the HTC Hero, but also like the Motorola Droid has just hit the Google phone record (550 MHz), leading all Android phones.

In addition, the Sony Ericsson X10 (http://www.frbiz.com/catalog/9/electronic_components_supplies.html ) has built-in 1 GB memory and also 256 MB RAM and an attached capacity of 8 GB of microSD memory card. It is worth mentioning that the memory card's mobile phone battery warehouse is located next to the battery, due to which plug location is blocked. It does not have hot-swap functionality; only 1 GB of memory for a cell phone is somewhat inconvenient.

As for other aspects, the Sony Ericsson X10 also supports GSM / GPRS / EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 and UMTS / HSPA 900/1700/2100 network frequency bands; it has built-in GPS positioning and navigation module and supports the WLAN wireless local area network. It also has USB 2.0, Bluetooth 2.0, Google Maps and other technical applications. In addition, the phone comes with Exchange ActiveSync, e-mail synchronization, flight mode, calculator, alarm clock and other commonly used functions for business people. The media, players and cool PlayNow music downloads and music or Demo 3D games are also available.

At the same time, Sony Ericsson has also launched a support for FM radio-enabled wireless stereo headphones -- MW600. This model uses high-tech gas-tight type earplugs, with sound quality perfectly restored through the headphones. In addition, the headset is also equipped with OLED display, RDS radio-wire operation, and information.
