Finavera Renewables Extends Warrants

Finavera Renewables Inc. ('Finavera Renewables' or the 'Company') (TSX VENTURE: FVR) announces that is has applied to the TSX Venture Exchange to extend the term of all 21,000,000 share purchase warrants issued pursuant to the December 2007 private placement at a price of $0.15 per share, for one year. The Company has also applied to extend the term of 10,020,000 share purchase warrants issued pursuant to the November 2008 private placement. The warrants, exercisable at $0.10 per share and initially issued for a term of twelve months, will also be extended by one year.

The extensions are subject to TSX Venture Exchange approval.
