Fairfax directors united: Corbett

Fairfax Media expects a "modest" increase in earnings in 2009-10. Meanwhile, chairman Roger Corbett says Fairfax should have seen that David Evans' dual role as a director of both Fairfax and Village Roadshow constituted a conflict of interest. Evans resigned as a Fairfax director in early November 2009. Corbett's work as a consultant to Fairfax advertiser Woolworths was also under scrutiny at the group's annual meeting.
