City National Opens San Jose Regional Center

City National Bank, California's Premier Private and Business Bank(R), today opened its fifth full-service regional center in Northern California, the San Jose Regional Center located at 224 Airport Parkway in San Jose.

The 7,245-square-foot regional center includes the San Jose branch that City National recently acquired from Westamerica Bank. It is City National's ninth branch in Northern California and its 55th in the state.

The San Jose Regional Center also features a Commercial Banking Services office to serve middle-market companies, mid-sized businesses, nonprofit organizations and government entities.

City National soon will expand the regional center through:

 * a new Private Client Services office to meet the private banking
and wealth management needs of individuals, families, businesses
and professional services firms in the Silicon Valley; and
 * expansion of the existing Treasury Services Deposits function to
serve homeowners associations, property management firms, and
title and escrow companies throughout Northern California.

"The new San Jose Regional Center expands City National's ability to serve one of California's most entrepreneurial regions," said Robert Brant, executive vice president and Northern California regional executive. "It gives us the ideal opportunity to offer our brand of highly tailored banking and wealth management solutions to entrepreneurs, professionals and small and mid-size businesses in San Jose and the Silicon Valley."

City National also operates regional banking centers - which include branch offices - in Oakland, Palo Alto, San Francisco and Walnut Creek. In addition to the San Jose branch, the bank also has branch offices in Burlingame, Fremont and San Leandro, with a second office in downtown San Francisco.

San Jose Banking Office

The San Jose branch offers a full range of small business services including business and consumer loans; cash management; deposit; international banking; and foreign exchange. City National is a Preferred Lender under the U.S. Small Business Administration and SBAExpress programs.

Business hours are 9 a.m. until 4 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Friday. The branch features an exterior ATM and a night depository.

Melanie Raley is vice president and branch manager. A 21-year banking veteran, she most recently served as manager of Citibank's Blossom Hill branch in San Jose.

San Jose Commercial Banking Services

The San Jose Commercial Banking Services office provides commercial loans, lines of credit, equipment leasing and a variety of other financial services to a wide range of businesses including agribusinesses, manufacturers, distributors and services companies.

David Walker is senior vice president and manager. Before joining City National in 2008, Walker served as regional president of First Bank's Bay Area commercial/middle market banking group.
