Oil and gas exploration company Zion Oil & Gas Inc (Nasdaq:ZN) reported on Monday a net loss of USD817,000, or USD0.05 per share, for the third quarter of 2009

This reflects an improvement compared to a net loss of USD853,000, or USD0.08 per share, for the same quarter of the previous year.

The Israel based company did not generate any revenues as it is an exploration stage company.
