Verizon Thinkfinity Named Best Free Educational Web Site by Library Media Connection Magazine

Verizon Thinkfinity has received Library Media Connection Magazine's Editor's Choice award for the best free educational Web site.

Verizon Thinkfinity (www.thinkfinity.org) contains thousands of free, engaging educational resources that make learning fun, including K-12 lesson plans, in-class activities and videos that can be found quickly and searched by grade level, keyword or subject.

Verizon Thinkfinity resources are aligned to state and national standards and offer elementary through high school teachers resources across eight academic disciplines, from science to English to mathematics, to improve student achievement.

The Library Media Connection's Editor's Choice awards recognize products that are most valuable to K-12 students and those educators, especially school librarians, who work with them. LMC announced Editor's Choice awards in 24 categories ranging from best picture books, to best reference, to best professional reading. Winners of this award should be considered by school library media specialists as necessary resources for their libraries and schools, said Shelley Glantz, reviews editor for Library Media Connection.

"This is where the good stuff lives -- tens of thousands of resources, accessible and searchable," said Glantz.
