Embarcadero Announces DBArtisan for SQL Azure Database from Microsoft

Embarcadero, a leading provider of multi-platform database tools and developer software, is unveiling a special edition of DBArtisan for SQL Azure at this week's Microsoft Professional Developers Conference (PDC). DBArtisan is Embarcadero's database administration tool (http://www.embarcadero.com/products/dbartisan/azure) for heterogeneous DBMS environments. Its schema extraction and migration capabilities enable organizations to more quickly deploy cloud applications and migrate some or all of their existing SQL Server database schema to SQL Azure Database, Microsoft Corp.'s new cloud-based relational database service.
The free special edition trial license, which includes full versions of DBArtisan Standard Edition for SQL Server and DBArtisan for SQL Azure, can be downloaded for free at www.embarcadero.com/products/dbartisan/azure
DBArtisan for SQL Azure provides for basic database administration at the schema level, including object management and editors, SQL editing and schema extraction, as well as migration utilities to facilitate data migration from Microsoft SQL Server to SQL Azure (http://www.embarcadero.com/products/dbartisan/azure). The tool enables enterprises to build symmetrical on-premise and cloud-based SQL Azure Database deployments, reducing in-house IT infrastructure costs and making certain data sets more readily available to offsite consumers.
