Max Capital appoints new president of reinsurance operations

Max Capital Group has appointed David Kalainoff as the new president of reinsurance operations in Bermuda and Ireland.

Mr Kalainoff joined Max in 2003, most recently serving as managing director of reinsurance operations and executive vice president and chief underwriting officer of casualty reinsurance operations of Max Bermuda.

Mr Kalainoff has 30 years of casualty underwriting experience, most recently with Transatlantic Reinsurance Company in New York, where he served as senior vice president of specialty casualty.

During the past several years, he has successfully built a profitable book of casualty reinsurance business for Max.
