Sinopec to Promote State-standard III Gasoline in 7 Regions

China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation (Sinopec; SEHK: 0386; SHSE: 600028) will take the lead in promoting the gasoline meeting the State Emission Standard III in seven domestic provinces and municipalities through its sales branches from January 1, 2010.

These selected regions have been capable of turning out such product, said people familiar with the matter.

A Sinopec sales company based in Sichuan Province, southwest China, has not received any notice of the promotion yet, but the utilization of the gasoline meeting the State Emission Standard III is in line with the future development trend.

The gasoline meeting the State Emission Standard III, also known as the high-standard clean gasoline, is a kind of mixture of a multi-purpose clean gasoline compound with the No. 93 leadless gasoline. Its sediment elimination capacity can strengthen.

This product is propitious to not only the profitability upgrade but also reduction of the auto exhaust pollution.
