Harris Interactive, a global custom market research firm, announced the launch of its Advanced Strategy Lab (ASL) in Asia.
In a release, the Company noted that ASL is a qualitative research technology that uses a combination of dedicated facilities, mobile laptop and web-based access, to facilitate brainstorming, idea generation and solution development through networked computers in a moderated real-time group setting. It allows for simultaneous, anonymous input from up to 24 participants either in an in-person session in the same location via laptop computers or via the internet, from any location.
ASL has been developed and delivered over several years in the United States supporting Harris Interactive clients in a wide range of ideation, strategy and research sessions. A session to introduce ASL to clients was held recently in Hong Kong.
Jamie Lord, Vice President, Harris Interactive Asia said "The opening of this ASL lab capability in Asia adds another powerful analytical tool to help our clients make better business decisions. It is another example of our strategy to deliver deeper insights, leverage technology and share best practices across our entire enterprise."
A rich, efficient resource for strategic guidance, ASL qualitative sessions are designed in accordance with project objectives and moderated by two research professionals with experience in both the software technology and high-level qualitative moderation skills.
"ASL combines the best benefits of in-person and online qualitative research," said Robert Salvoni, Managing Director of Harris Interactive Europe and Asia. "It is a tremendous tool for generating new ideas, insights and understandings and we're very much looking forward to introducing it to our clients throughout Asia."
Douglas Griffen, who directs the Advanced Strategy Lab project facilitation for Harris Interactive, agrees. "ASL extends the reach of our clients to engage with people no matter where they are. It creates a new level of focus and insight by engaging all participants throughout the session...whether it is an in person group in Hong Kong or a set of key opinion leaders across the Asia region. It's a combination of innovative brainstorming guided by a proven consulting process and expert facilitation."
