Wells Fargo & Company, a provider of financial services, has appointed James Kimball as regional senior vice president of its north coast regional commercial banking office. He succeeds Michael Sullivan, who will join the company's global financial institutions group in early 2010.
Most recently, Mr Kimball served as a regional sales manager for Wells Fargo's commercial banking business, overseeing business development in the Pacific northwest, northern California, and part of central California. Before that, he led Wachovia's wholesale banking expansion into northern California and Nevada.
In his new role, Mr Kimball will be responsible for a team of 17 commercial banking managers who serve middle-market companies in a territory that stretches from the Golden Gate Bridge to the Oregon border. A key sector served by his team is California's wine industry, the company said.
