12/23/2009 aEUR" Rigel Pharmaceuticals Inc. (NASDAQ:RIGL) said it received a milestone payment from Daiichi Sankyo, its partner in researching potential cancer treatments.
The companies have been working together since 2002 to develop drugs that control cancer cell proliferation.
The company said that Daiichi Sankyo has advanced some of its early work, which resulted in the multiple milestone payments.
