'ER-Telecom claims lead in October broadband additions'

Russian fixed-line operator ER-Telecom has attracted the highest number of new broadband customers in October. Of all the recorded net additions, ER-Telecom attracted 12 percent, followed by Vimpelcom also with 12 percent but fewer net household additions, Centertelecom with 11 percent, Uralsvyazinform and North-West Telecom with 6 percent each, Comstar and Southern Telecom with 5 percent each, Sibirtelecom with 4 percent, Volgatelecom with 2 percent and other operators with 37 percent. In October, Comstar had the highest number of broadband subscribers (1.17 million), ahead of Centertelecom (1.05 million), Vimpelcom (979,000), ER-Telecom (855,000), Volgatelecom (842,000), North-West Telecom (795,000), Uralsvyazinform (645,000), Akado (635,000), Sibirtelecom (501,000) and Southern Telecom (495,000).
