Copa Holdings announces December load factor of 76.9%

Copa Holdings SA (NYSE:CPA) reported on Monday that its Copa Airlines and Aero Republica subsidiaries posted a combined load factor of 76.9% for December 2009, up 2.7 percentage points compared to the same month of the prior year.
Combined revenue passenger miles for the month rose by 6.6% compared to December 2008 and available seat miles increased by 2.9%.
Aero Republica recorded a December 2009 load factor of 74.8%, an improvement of 5.4 percentage points compared to the same month of previous year, while Copa Airlines' load factor increased 2.1 percentage points to 77.3%.
For the full year 2009, Copa Holdings reported a load factor of 74.6%, down 1.3 percentage points compared to 2008.
