F5 enhances BIG-IP

F5 Networks Inc (Nasdaq: FFIV), a specialist provider of application delivery networking solutions, today announced enhancements to its BIG-IP applications delivery services portfolio.
The company said that the new BIG-IP release contains a new Access Policy Manager which allows organisations to create a granular, centralised access control policy which can include policies based on user location, with IP geolocation services integrated into the TMOS platform.
Also added to BIG-IP are a new WAN Optimisation Module to improve data transfer times, allowing reduced bandwidth utilisation and improved disaster recover options through accelerated data transfers and application ready templates for SAP and Microsoft Exchange 2010 which can reduce application deployment times.
No pricing details for the solution were disclosed.
