Company: Millicom International Cellular S.A. (MICC)
Comverse, a provider of software and solutions to mobile network operators, today announced that Millicom International Cellular SA (Nasdaq:MICC), the company behind the TIGO brand name, is deploying the Comverse Voice HUB in its mobile network in Bolivia and Honduras.
The company said that the deployment will enable TIGO to provide its users with voice related services, such as Comverse Visual Voicemail and Call Completion. A major benefit of visual voicemail is that instead of calling in for voice messages, TIGO users will now have their voice messages sent to them immediately and automatically via multimedia message (MMS) and email.
TIGO users will also have available additional services such as Comverse Notify Me and Comverse Who Called.
No financial details of the deal with TIGO were disclosed.
