Navarre Distribution Services Announces New Logistics Center in Greater Toronto Area

Navarre Distribution Services, the retail logistics arm of Navarre Corporation (Nasdaq:NAVR), today unveiled the details of its new Canadian location before key customers and suppliers at its annual Icebreaker conference in Minneapolis, MN. The announcement demonstrates the company's ongoing commitment to delivering agile distribution and third-party logistics (3PL) solutions to North America's retail community.
Located in Toronto, Ontario, the new facility will provide Navarre Distribution Services the capacity to more than quadruple its existing business in Canada, while simultaneously improving service levels. Utilizing regional carriers, Navarre Distribution Services will deliver to retail endpoints across the Canadian provinces.

Navarre Distribution Services will deploy its existing best-of-breed systems and infrastructure in the new facility, ensuring retail customers and suppliers receive the same high caliber service they expect from the company. Core technologies include the SAP(R) Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) application and complete EDI protocols for order management and financial services; the HighJumpTM Warehouse Advantage software and Vocollect(R) voice-directed picking system for inventory and fulfillment; and the company's secure online portal for vendor communications and reporting. Navarre Distribution Services also offers a proprietary Vendor Managed Inventory application.
The facility is slated to open on April 1, 2010.
