Verizon Wireless to launch Motorola DEVOUR in March

US wireless communications company Verizon Wireless and wireless and broadband communications company Motorola Inc (NYSE:MOT) announced on Wednesday the forthcoming availability of Motorola DEVOUR in March 2010.
According to the company, Motorola DEVOUR will be the first Verizon Wireless phone to feature MOTOBLUR, Motorola's Android-powered content delivery service.
The handset offers the following features: touch-sensitive navigation pad; 3.1" capacitive touch screen; pre-loaded applications such as Gmail, Google Talk, YouTube, Google Search and Google Maps with Google Maps navigation; Happenings Widget; universal inbox; automatic backup on the MOTOBLUR portal; 8GB microSD card pre-installed; as well as support for Bluetooth profiles, including A2DP, HID, HSP, HFP, AVRCP and GAP.
The company said that to get the most from Motorola DEVOUR, customers will need to subscribe to a Nationwide Talk or Nationwide Talk & Text plan and a Data Package for smartphones. Nationwide Talk plans begin at USD39.99 monthly access and Nationwide Talk & Text plans begin at USD59.99 monthly access. A Data Package for smartphones is USD29.99 for unlimited monthly access.
Verizon Wireless is a joint venture of Verizon Communications (NYSE:VZ) and Vodafone (Nasdaq:VOD) (LSE: VOD).
