Singapore Airlines to refit 11 Boeing 777-200 aircraft

Singapore Airlines announced today that it is introducing new cabin products on some of its Boeing 777-200 aircraft starting later this month.
The carrier will refit 11 B777-200s with its most recent cabin offerings in order to provide more space, comfort and product consistency across the fleet. The refitted aircraft will be configured with 38 seats in Business Class and 228 seats in Economy Class.
Business Class will feature leather, incline lie-flat seats with personal partitions and advanced control cabins, which are also fitted on Singapore Airlines' Airbus A330-300 aircraft. The Economy Class cabin will feature seat covers designed by Givenchy, similar to those in the carrier's new Airbus A380 and Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.
Improvements will also be made to Singapore Airlines; KrisWorld in-flight entertainment system to provide between Audio-Video On Demand features in both Economy and Business Class. Business Class seats will have larger 15.4 inch screens and Economy Class screens will be increased to 9 inches later this year.
The first B777-200 aircraft will be operated on services between Singapore and Shanghai from 23 February. As additional B777-200s are refitted they will be used to operate selected flights to Beijing, Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Hong Kong and Chennai.
