JDA Software Group has announced that Jo-Ann Stores has implemented JDA's supply chain management software solutions to reduce gross-net inventory and enhance forecast accuracy.
Jo-Ann Stores has leveraged JDA services' implementation expertise to integrate JDA Demand, JDA Demand Classification, JDA Fulfillment and the newly released JDA Order Optimization solutions with its existing ERP system.
By leveraging JDA's demand-forecasting capabilities, Jo-Ann Stores expects to rebalance inventory levels across its stores and distribution centers, enhance store- and DC-level forecast accuracy, increase integration as a result of streamlined space and merchandise planning, as well as increase exception-management capabilities. The ability to respond in real time to changes in consumer-buying behavior will also help the retailer improve customer-service levels and positively impact bottom-line results, JDA Software Group said.
Wayne Usie, senior vice president of retail at JDA Software Group, said: "Accurately aligning product selections with changing consumer demand enables retailers to be more responsive while reducing risk and uncertainty. By applying the disciplines of time-phased demand planning to its merchandising processes, Jo-Ann Stores can look forward to gaining a more complete picture of future customer demand that will help drive increased profitability, reduce inventory levels and improve customer service."
