Oracle to acquire AmberPoint

Oracle Corporation, an enterprise software company, has agreed to acquire AmberPoint, Inc., a provider of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) visibility, management and security software. The transaction is expected to close in the first half of 2010. Both the companies are based in the US.
Earlier, AmberPoint had secured venture funding from Crosslink Capital, Norwest Venture Partners, Sutter Hill Ventures, Meritech Capital Partners, Motorola Ventures and SAP Ventures.
