Jeffd, What is the serial number of the Pro1500E? Maybe you have a bad fan or it could be clogged up with dirt. Try to blow out the fan with a can of compreseed air. Please turn off and disconnect the Pro1500E from the AC source. Open the cover and then blow it out with the canned air.

I would say the optimum forced air flow on the kiln shell is zero. The higher the air flow then the higher is the loss of energy through the shell. This means greater heat requirements in the kiln and more penetration of salts into the refractory and therefore a negative impact on refractory life.

I recently had to power two domestic houses temporarly by a 200Amp generator. Everything seemed to be working fine until the central heating systems were tested. In each house the boiler was displaying an error message, saying that there was a pcb fault.

I have a new pair of ED2000RM2U that have just been installed and powered up with no load. The fan noise is significant (unacceptably loud)at 40 feet in a different room and with a wall in between. Worse, I normally work within 3 feet of these units.

Frank1532, The Enterprise series has two fan's inside one is located in the back and the other is located inside. The fans allow the unit to stay within operating temperature. The fans stay on during AC Mode and DC mode.

My company has several dozen mbk550 and pro1100's. The fans started making a grinding noise like the bearings were starting to go. Once the fans stop, the unit will beep continually every second and will not provide battery backup. If I change the fan out with a working one - all is good.
