ebuild: Engineer wanted
can anyone recommend a post & frame timber engineer? I'm building several extensions, one a glulam or douglas fir internal post & frame structure. I already have a local subcontract supplier who'll charge about £ 650 per m3 for timber, plus prepare each beam for £ 25.

Print Page - internal load bearing walls
It seems that the only viable approach then may be to build all of these walls on proper foundations. Is this good logic , or can members help me out with a more economic and sensible approach ?
