I am constructing the Lead Acid Battery Revitaliser from the Sept. 2001 issue. Can some one give details of constructing these inductors . From the picture in the article I have purchased a ceramic core for the inductor L2.

Very nice article... does a nice job of explaining why the theory "2 (ideal) capacitors in parallel add together" is different from the reality. I do most of my work in 0805, 0603 when absolutely necessary but I try to avoid it (man. yield, rework issues, etc...

Xantrex Forums: Charging Question
I also used a small generator and found it to be inadequate. It could deliver the needed amps but the peak voltage was not high enough. Other than replace the generator, I installed a step up transformer for a fraction of the cost. It now exceeds my needs and runs quieter and more efficeintly.

I am currently building the ATX power Supply tester from EE Jan 05 issue and cannot source the 5w and 10w power resistors. I have also tried to find the 250R trim pot. They dont seem to exist. I live in South Australia. Can anyone help? Please.

Hi there I'm tearing my hair out trying to find either a 0.47 ohm or 0.75 ohm resistor rated at 2 Watts. I've exhaustively searched Maplin, RS and Rapid for one, but the lowest I can get is 1 ohm. Where can I go to find resistors with such small values?

Many many years ago I came across a formula for calculating the value of the output coupling capacitor - speaker output cap. I think it involved squaring the supply volts and dividing by the speaker impedance but I could be way off base here. Can someone please help me ?
