Xantrex Forums: Basic question!

On XW charging from a small 240V generator. Will the maximum power from the generator (roughly) be transfered for charging. I guess what I am asking is the XW able to balance the 2 120V legs and use both legs of the generators full output for 120V loads and battery charging? Any caveats?

i have a sw4024 and use a generator to charge the batteries. i purchased a honda eu 2000i as an alternative to the big generator. i changed the settings on ac input to 10 amps and also changed the battery charger to 10 amps.

Hi I would like to know if there is any chance of modifying without excessive pain a 24V into a 48V version. As far as I know this series was cleverly designed in order to have any version (12-24-48V and 2500-3000-4000-5500W) with very few adjustments. I have a complete lab packed with instruments.

We are considering the purchase of a tankless water heater. It would be a gas model. What I've read shows some models with an electronic ignition rather than a pilot. Will this work with my Trace SW4024 (1996 model)? Was fortunate to find a gas stove with a plain old-fashioned pilot light.
