There are a number of stressors facing emergency departments at present. There is no clear option for patients with acute but not life-threatening conditions. It is unlikely that superclinics will make any difference.

Opening hours and stroke outcomes

It is a bit of a long bow to associate the longer hours of the superclinics improving stroke and TIA outcomes. First they will need to find the GPs to staff these clinics to see the patients. Many clinics are open extended hours already with afterhours cover. Isn t that part of accreditation?
