I would be more than happy for ALL GPs to be banned from manipulation. Leave all the placebo-only stuff, including acupuncture, to one of the myriad of alternative practitioners and their equally nutter patient population.

I'm so relieved that the new TGA regulations regarding homeopathic remedies will "effectively ban shonky homeopathic products that mislead consumers into believing they contained melatonin or growth hormone".

If the chiropractors want standards and want specific registration, then they should be prepared to be scrutinised by the Professional Services Review Board. I was taught by John Murtagh and have learnt a lot from others over the years - mainly osteopaths.
Champix warnings

I have prescribed Champix and agree that while it is effective, it has a lot of unpleasant side effects. I don't generally give it to depressed patients. I also believe in and practise hypnotherapy, which has a variable success rate.

I am a GP and readily refer to alternative practitioners in my area. In my experience, they are efficient and my patients are all the happier. Some recent examples: a lady with menopause, resistant to traditional medical treatment (sounds familiar, right?) I sent her off to a local homeopath.

Homeopathy regulation reviewed (link) I'm a practicing homeopath and GP in Melbourne. My practice is thriving, because homeopathy works. I gave up conventional medicine decades ago, I now heal people, not just throw chemicals at them.

Hellooooooooo? Where has the TGA been the last 10-20 years? Tiny itty bitty teenie doses of arsenic have done vast amounts of no good. So why is this stuff still being sold?
