James Moxham on corporate health centres

Forum  |  www.6minutes.com.au | Feb 15, 2008

I've spent brainstorming sessions run by divisions thinking about the future of general practice, but suddenly it becomes clear where we are all heading. If a pathology company so much as gives me a coffee cup they have to justify it, and woe betide any company that gave me a computer.

CCHIT and PMR - Amazing Charts User Board

Guys the ac system as is with office alli seems to be working smoothly for me and I may not even need the pmr. I think it is worth a look if you need something now. You very well will need a clearinghouse and officealli is a free clearinghouse.

View topic - Bunion Surgery needed

Hi. New here, but I can see from scrolling thru the threads that there is some good info. So I am deciding to give it a shot. I was diagnosed with needing bunion surgery, however I was told not for another 6 months. I have tried a couple of the "conservative" therapies yet not all.

Beverley Rowbotham: remove pathology training roadblocks

Forum  |  www.6minutes.com.au

The attitude of medical students to pathology varies depending on their local experience. The comment posted does not reflect the positive attitude of the nearly 1000 students who attended the lecture by Dr Kumar, of Robbins test book fame at the AMSA conference this year.

AC vs e-mds or ecw - Amazing Charts User Board

Ok everybody. I NEED your help. I have had AC on my computer for over a year. I still have paper charts and have not started using any EMR. I can't seem to take the plunge. I am a solo FP with one receptionist and one MA. I have a billing person that comes in 1 day a week for 6% of collections.

Antibiotics linked to recurrent ear infections

Forum  |  www.6minutes.com.au | Jul 6, 2009

As a practicing GP I was interested in this article but found it to be lacking substance when I looked more closely. This is a very small study, so it is very difficult to interpret the significance in the difference of the recurrence rates from placebo vs antibiotic treatment.

Pathology too hard for some students

Forum  |  www.6minutes.com.au

Interesting discussion. I suspect the problem started with renovation of medical curricula in the 1990's and junking of a lot of training built up over the last 100 years.
