Zagg, a producer of electronics accessories for protecting and enhancing the mobile experience, including the invisibleSHIELD and Zaggaudio brands, announced the creation of an invisibleSHIELD for the Motorola Droid.
Zagg has obtained a working model of the Droid and has already created an invisibleSHIELD design for it.
The company said it began accepting orders for the invisibleSHIELD for the Motorola Droid, November 2nd, and expects to start shipping to key retailers prior to the advertised availability date for the device on November 6th.
The Motorola Droid is a smartphone being positioned as a competitor to Apple's iPhone line with a national advertising campaign highlighting Droid's advantages, including running simultaneous apps, the ability to change device batteries, and customizable features. The Droid will be the first device running Google's Android 2.0 mobile platform. Zagg stated that its invisibleSHIELD is military-grade, virtually invisible and indestructible film that protects smartphones and other gadgets from bumps, scratches and dings with a lifetime guarantee.
"Zagg continues to lead our industry by creating the world's finest protection and enhancement for all of the hottest new devices," said Robert G. Pedersen II, President and CEO of Zagg. "We are excited about the combination of the Motorola Droid and the invisibleSHIELD, and we are certain customers will see it as a perfect fit."
