Aastra Completes Acquisition of Ericsson Enterprise Communications Operations in South Africa -

Aastra Technologies Limited (TSX: AAH) is pleased to announce that it has completed its acquisition of Ericsson's Enterprise Communication operations in South Africa, which had been deferred, but was encompassed within Aastra's previously announced acquisition of Ericsson's global Enterprise Communications Business.

The addition of Ericsson's South Africa Enterprise Communications operations extends Aastra's global reach into a new market that provides opportunity for growth and development of strategic new channel partners. Aastra will continue to build on Ericsson's success in South Africa by supporting all existing products and applications, and by providing a high level of customer service.

Aastra Delays the Filing of its Business Acquisition Report - Zibb.com

TORONTO, ONTARIO, Jul 16, 2008 (MARKET WIRE via COMTEX) --

Aastra Technologies Limited - (TSX: AAH) has been advised by the Ontario Securities Commission that it has been put on the list of reporting issuers in default by the Ontario Securities Commission for failing to file a Business Acquisition Report ("BAR") on or before July 14, 2008 in connection with the completion of its acquisition of Ericsson's Enterprise Communications Business on April 30, 2008. Aastra has been advised that it will remain on the list of reporting issuers in default until the BAR is filed.

Aastra is taking all necessary steps to file the BAR as soon as possible and expects to file the BAR in October 2008.
