Shelton, CT, Jan 20, 2010 (PRWeb.com via COMTEX) --
CYA Technologies, an enChoice(R) company, today announced that growing numbers of IBM(R) FileNet(R) P8 customers are turning to CYA SmartRecovery(TM) to complete their P8 backup and recovery strategies. CYA SmartRecovery (http://www.cya.com/en/Products/IBMFileNetP8/CYASmartRecoveryforIBMFileNetP8/tabid/225/Default.aspx) is an application-aware solution that complements disaster recovery technologies by providing hot, synchronized backups and hot, granular recovery of P8 objects in response to logical failures such as programmatic and user errors, viruses, and corruptions.
CYA SmartRecovery (http://www.cya.com/en/Products/IBMFileNetP8/CYASmartRecoveryforIBMFileNetP8/tabid/225/Default.aspx) has recently been adopted by several government entities including Infrastructure Ontario, State of New Mexico, and the U.S. Army. These organizations realize that losing just one document has the potential to cripple their most critical operations, and CYA SmartRecovery is the only solution that enables them to facilitate operational continuity by quickly recovering granular objects without a full system restore or downtime. Other new customers include CNA Insurance, which has selected CYA SmartRecovery for its ability to both backup and recover information without taking P8 offline.
"Because CYA SmartRecovery (http://www.cya.com/en/Products/IBMFileNetP8/CYASmartRecoveryforIBMFileNetP8/tabid/225/Default.aspx) allows P8 to remain online while backup and recovery operations are performed, our customers are empowered to meet stringent service level agreements related to application uptime," said Wayne Crandall, president of CYA Technologies. "By minimizing downtime, CYA SmartRecovery puts its customers ahead of the competition by helping maximize productivity, customer satisfaction, and ultimately profits."
CYA SmartRecovery (http://www.cya.com/en/Products/IBMFileNetP8/CYASmartRecoveryforIBMFileNetP8/tabid/225/Default.aspx) works seamlessly with traditional disaster recovery solutions including IBM Tivoli Storage Manager, EMC NetWorker, and Symantec Veritas NetBackup to enable system hot backups and reduce data loss windows to under fifteen minutes in the event of a disaster. It also features an optional Data Integrity Module that complements FileNet Consistency Checker's content checks by verifying metadata integrity. The module proactively identifies corruptions so they can be corrected before the information is needed for an audit, inspection, or other business demand. This is especially useful during P8 upgrades, where corruptions that are not corrected prior to data migrations can cause budget-busting delays by halting migration scripts.

SCOTTSDALE, AZ, Nov 18, 2009 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) --
Today, Informative Graphics Corporation (IGC), a leader in viewing, collaboration and redaction technology, launched Redact-It for IBM(R) FileNet(R) Capture. A seamless integration between IGC's popular electronic redaction tool and IBM's scanning product, it offers the first truly integrated redaction capability for the IBM FileNet Capture solution.
"This release provides a very useful combination of capture and redaction, allowing sensitive content to be removed right at the point where it enters the system," remarked Joe Junker, director of business development for IGC. "It is a great way for FileNet Capture customers to achieve regulatory compliance and make sure that this information is protected right from the start. Businesses and government entities focused on meeting e-discovery, privacy protection, Sunshine Act legislation, and other compliance and privacy requirements will appreciate Redact-It's solid return on investment."
Redact-It brings automated redaction of confidential data to the major IBM FileNet repositories including P8 Content Engine, Image Services, and Capture local repository. Redact-It can release both redacted and unredacted versions of the file, saving any additional workflow steps.
