HSBC Bank (China) Co., Ltd., which is wholly owned by Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC), yesterday joined the renminbi financial bonds underwriting group of Bank of Shanghai, becoming the first foreign lender that participates in such business in Mainland China.

Bank of Shanghai, as a top Chinese city commercial lender, aggregately issued renminbi financial bonds worth CNY 5 billion, and the interest rate of its three-year financial bonds valued at CNY 2 billion is fixed at 3.65.
