Paradigm signs EP software service agreement with Hess - Zibb.com

Enterprise software solutions provider Paradigm has signed a multi-year contract with New York-based oil company Hess, for software, training and onsite consulting services for its exploration and production operations worldwide.

Under the new contract, Paradigm will provide a comprehensive suite of geophysical and petrophysical applications for workflows, ranging from seismic data processing, imaging and petrophysical analysis to standard and advanced geophysical subsurface data interpretation and formation evaluation.

The agreement will allow further growth and technology adoption throughout the term of the relationship, and Hess will have the opportunity to incorporate new Paradigm technology as it is developed.

Paradigm will provide training, both onsite and from regional Paradigm support centers, as well as onsite application support to Hess employees. Additionally, Paradigm will deliver onsite consulting services on projects, such as data migration and workflow best practices.

Scott Heck, Hess's senior vice president of exploration and production technology, said: "This new relationship with Paradigm is an investment in optimizing our petrotechnical software toolkit."

Hess Corporation selects IBM Cognos as business intelligence standard - Zibb.com

Cognos, an IBM company and a provider of business intelligence and performance management solutions, has announced that Hess Corporation, a global integrated energy company, has chosen IBM Cognos BI to deliver business intelligence capabilities across its marketing and refining organization.

Hess will use IBM Cognos 8 Business Intelligence (BI) within its retail, refining, finance, energy marketing and corporate divisions, connecting all information into a single, enterprise view to provide greater visibility into core business drivers such as customer profitability, inventory levels, and risk positions.

Hess operations and marketing managers will also be able to use IBM Cognos 8 BI Analysis for Microsoft Excel to perform multidimensional analysis on their data using a familiar spreadsheet environment.

Paradigm signs software and onsite consulting services contract with Hess - Zibb.com

Paradigm, a provider of enterprise software solutions, has announced that Hess Corporation, an integrated energy company, has signed a multi-year contract for its software, training and onsite consulting services for its exploration and production operations worldwide.

Take notice that on June 6, 2008, pursuant to sections 4 and 5 of the Natural Gas Act, 15 U.S.C. 717c, Part 154 of the Commission's Regulations, Subpart G of Part 284 of the Commission Regulations, specifically sections 284.222(g) and 284.222(h), and Rule 206 of the Rules and Practice and Procedure, 18 CFR 385.206, Atmos Energy Marketing, LLC, BP Energy Company, Delta Energy, LLC, Direct Energy, Hess Corporation, Honda of America Mfg., Inc., Interstate Gas Supply, Inc., National Energy Marketers Association, Ohio Farm Bureau Federation, and Sequent Energy Management, L.P. (Complainants) filed a formal complaint against Columbia Gas Transmission Corporation (Respondent), requesting the Commission to direct the Respondent to cease and desist from implementing unilaterally substantial changes to its current primary delivery points under currently effective contracts and new services, though actions that are not authorized under its tariff and are contrary to law.

The Complainants further request emergency relief to require the Respondent to cease and desist from unilaterally compelling its firm shippers to amend the primary delivery points under their contracts by establishing an arbitrary deadline of July 31, 2008, for making elections for service at the new primary delivery points, or otherwise face the potential inability to continue to receive firm services in accordance with their currently effective contracts.

The Complainants have requested fast track processing of the complaint.

The Complainants state that a copy of the complaint has been served on the Respondent.

Any person desiring to intervene or to protest this filing must file in accordance with Rules 211 and 214 of the Commission's Rules of Practice and Procedure (18 CFR 385.211, 385.214). Protests will be considered by the Commission in determining the appropriate action to be taken, but will not serve to make protestants parties to the proceeding.
