Vice President of Lenovo Mobile Resigns - Zibb.com
BEIJING, Sep 03, 2008 (SinoCast via COMTEX) --
Lenovo Mobile, the cell phone arm of Lenovo Group, confirmed on September 1 that Lan Ye had resigned as the vice president of the company. Lan Ye has been appointed by Founder Technology as the president, which is one of the archrivals of Lenovo Mobile.
Lan Ye had been heading the sales department of Lenovo Group. In this April, when Lenovo Mobile became independent from the group, Lan Ye was named as the vice president of Lenovo Mobile.
The group hoped the appointment of Lan Ye would lead the flagging cell phone department to make a turnaround.
Lenovo Mobile is securing a listing. In a bid to further stabilize its management team, Lenovo Mobile is also considering kicking off new stock incentive plans.
At the end of 2007, Lenovo Mobile ceded its dominant position in the cell phone market among all local brands. With participation of the new management, the situation was turning for the better. For this year, Lenovo Mobile has set a goal of selling 8 million handsets.
