The Milpitas City Council this week voted to back negotiating a deal that would put the nonprofit Silicon Valley Unwired in charge of its municipal wireless Internet network. Google Inc. (NASDAQ: GOOG), I-Net Solutions Inc. and wireless equipment makers would join the effort.
