I should know this however my mind is not working right now. I have a ladies ring, I feel to be foreign, with emerald crystals (9) that are about 7mm by 5mm. First how can I decide if it could be natural or synthetic? The color is good but they are almost opaque in clarity.

I can’t tell much about the ring from the picture but the short answer is, heck no. HE would be better off if you bought a new ring. Gold and diamonds recycle pretty well and there are shops all over the country who make a living off of helping people restyle inherited jewelry.
