The B.C. government has released a Discussion Paper respecting proposed revisions to that province’s Insurance Act and has invited feedback from both the general public and the industry by the beginning of May 2007.

CW Insurance Bulletin - "Coming Soon: A New Insurance Act"
C. insurance law. The Bill received 1st reading on April 30, 2008. The Bill must now proceed through the various steps of the legislative process and there are also a number of Regulations to be drafted, but you can expect the new Act to come into effect in the next few months.
