Lufkin Industries, Inc. (Nasdaq: LUFK) today announced financial results for the third quarter of 2009. Earnings from continuing operations for the quarter declined to $5.1 million, or $0.34 per diluted share, compared with $25.0 million, or $1.66 per diluted share, for the third quarter of 2008.
